WASTE REMOVAL
The Jabsco 18590 series DC maceration pump is the ideal solution for emptying marine holding tanks when not in a discharge restricted area. This pump is self-priming to 1.5 metres and will drain a typical 115-litre holding tank in less than 3 minutes. The pump can operate continuously for 15 minutes, meaning a 680-litre tank can be emptied in a single operation.
It is recommended to flush the holding tanks with several litres of water after each emptying. This reduces the chances of sediment accumulating in the tank, leading to possible blockages.
EMPTY FISH TANK AND LIVEWELL TANK
The Jabsco cut-off pump is the ideal pump for emptying fish tanks and livewell containers. Often the livewell tank is located above the waterline of the boat, in which case gravity can be used to empty the tank. If this is not the case, it is convenient to use the Jabsco chopping pump for emptying, because of its self-priming capabilities and chopping properties.
Fish tanks are usually mounted in the vessel floor and are often below the waterline or only partially above it. Here too, the Jabsco chopping pump comes in handy because of its specific features. Leftover bait, ice particles, fish scales and anything else that could potentially be present in the fish tank are easily drained by the Jabsco cutting pump. Its self-priming capabilities are perfect for fish tank installations, which are common on contemporary sport fishing boats.
