Epifanes Copper-Cruise is a high-quality antifouling paint designed to control fouling and protect the underwater hull of yachts. This paint comes in 750ml and 2500ml packs. If you opt for the 2.5 litre pack, you will have enough paint to treat a larger area and be prepared for future maintenance.
Epifanes Copper-Cruise is a physically drying paint that contains copper(I) oxide. Thanks to the latest copper release technology, this paint ensures optimal copper release and has a slow-grinding effect. This results in a hard scrubable surface and a smooth underwater ship. The paint has a semi-gloss finish and is available in various colours, including reddish brown, red, light blue, dark blue, black and off-white. The density at 20°C ranges from 1.35 - 1.78 kg./dm³, depending on the colour.
Epifanes Copper-Cruise is suitable for all types of wooden, steel and polyester yachts and can be used in fresh, brackish and salt water areas. It has a minimum cruising speed of 5 knots and a maximum cruising speed of 30 knots. The paint layer wears off due to resistance during sailing, keeping the underwater hull smooth and preventing fouling.
For best results, it is recommended to apply Epifanes Copper-Cruise in layers of equal thickness parallel to the waterline. Jobs should not overlap more than three times on the same piece. It is recommended to work with a short-haired coat roller or long-haired floppy brush. Preferably, the paint should be applied undiluted. If necessary, it can be thinned with Epifanes Thinner D-100, but maximum 5%.
Epifanes Copper-Cruise has a shelf life of at least 2 years from the production date, if stored at a temperature between 5° and 30° in the original unopened packaging. The can should be stirred well before use. The theoretical yield of the paint is 10-12 m² per ltr. @ 50 μm dry film thickness, but practical yield depends on application method, conditions during application, quality of substrate and shape of object.
Epifanes Copper-Cruise is safe to use, but the user must comply with national health, safety and environmental laws. It is important to consult the safety data sheet for more information and the most up-to-date safety data. With the 2.5 litre
packaging of Epifanes Copper-Cruise, you will have enough paint to apply several coats to a large area and be well prepared for future maintenance of your yacht's underwater hull.
