Welcome to the marina of Jachtclub Hedel, located at kilometre post 220 on the right bank of the river Maas, near the traffic and railway bridge. Our marina offers passers-by and members over 300 berths for boats with lengths ranging from 4 to 25 metres.
On entering the marina, you will see our yacht club on your starboard side. You can moor at the reporting jetty or take up an available berth, indicated by green signs.
Our transient moorings are equipped with side jetties, which is appreciated by dog owners and guests who like to explore the area by bike.
Each jetty offers electricity and free water connections. Moreover, we have free wifi and a well-maintained sanitary building open 24/7.
Safety is our top priority. That is why our entrance gate is electronically secured day and night. You receive a personal access code to open it. We have video surveillance and swimming stairs and fire extinguishers at strategic locations.
For questions, advice and assistance, our supervisor, who lives in the houseboat, is at your service. You will receive the supervisor's wifi code and gate access code. In his absence, he can be reached on 06-42840002.
With us, the Port Regulations apply, both in the harbour and on the jetties. We ask passers-by to report to the supervisor. The supervisor assigns a berth and provides the gate access code and free wifi.
You can deposit your household waste in the waste container at the entrance gate, however, only for household waste. It is strictly forbidden to deposit oil and/or chemical waste in the waste container or leave it unattended; offences will be reported.
Hedel has a shopping centre in the Voorstraat, where there is also an ATM. For boat supplies, you can go to IMS Marine, Blankenstein 18 in Hedel.
On leaving the harbour, you are immediately on Hedel's main street, with a pleasant shopping centre, various catering establishments, a Jumbo supermarket and several nice shops a short distance away. Adjacent is the freely accessible Small Animal Hiking Park.
Hedel, part of the Municipality of Maasdriel, has a rich history. Hedel Castle, whose foundations were recently exposed, is a historical landmark. The Historical Museum Hedel houses many archaeological finds in addition to a unique coin collection.
In the centre of Hedel, two monuments recall the fierce battle that took place a few weeks before the end of World War II.
Hedel is a popular starting and ending point for recreational cycling tours through the Bommelerwaard, with nearby towns such as Zaltbommel and Ammerzoden. The medieval castle Ammersoyen, built around the year 1300, is definitely worth a visit.
In short, Hedel and its surroundings offer plenty of sights and activities for an enjoyable stay. We wish you a pleasant stay in our marina.
