Welcome to association marina Aeolus! The marina is just a 10-minute walk from IJplein, from where the GVB ferry will take you to Central Station for free. In the immediate vicinity you will find cosy shopping streets, Chinatown, the Jordaan, Noordermarkt and the famous Negen Straatjes (Nine Streets). During the day and early evening, you can also choose to stay at the marina and enjoy their welcoming clubhouse and ever-blossoming garden (the clubhouse is open in the months of April, May, June and September only on Saturdays and Sundays from 2pm to 6pm).

With 60 berths, Aeolus is a small marina, but with more than 100 years of history (founded in 1918). Despite the limited space, they strive for an active association. Water sports are central, but events, harbour maintenance, meetings and social contact are also part of their life here.

Every year, they organise several trips, both for motorboats and sailboats, from the sea sailors to the river cruisers. They have 2 days a year when all members meet to prepare the port for the sailing season or winter. They also have a few meetings to discuss ongoing issues and make changes.

An association marina like Aeolus can only continue to exist if members actively contribute to a better marina. This can be done by organising small events, participating in projects or even by joining the board and helping to keep the marina running smoothly. As a passer-by or winter moorer, you are of course also very welcome. If you want to visit the marina during an event, check out their calendar.

Facilities:

• On the jetties there is rolling electricity connection (6 amps) and plenty of drinking water.
• There are 3 showers and 5 toilets in the marina. A contribution of 50 cents is required for the shower.
• In the cosy clubhouse, you can enjoy a cold drink and some trimmings at canteen prices.
• There is a supermarket less than a minute away from the marina, with a choice between Jumbo Foodmarkt and Dirk Supermarket. There is also an off-licence next to Dirk.
• Nearby, there are eateries such as Europizza, Sexyland, Hotel De Goudfazant and Oedipus, all within walking distance of the port.
• Right next to the Jumbo is a laundrette and dryer up to 16 kg.

Becoming a winter berth: From 1 November to 1 April, it is possible to stay at their marina as a winter mooring. There is limited access to facilities, but water and electricity remain available in the marina. Rates for the entire winter period are available on request.
