Welcome to WV De Koenen!
We hope you feel at home with the association and that you will consider returning. WV De Koenen offers you the perfect base from which to explore Amsterdam. The website contains a lot of information, also useful for passers-by visiting the marina. Make sure to use it (you may even want to become a member).
WV De Koenen is a recognised preferred marina of the KNMC, the Royal Dutch Motorboat Club. The official plaque (see opposite) can be found in the clubhouse.
For current rates for passers-by, please check the notice board in the entrance to the clubhouse or the rates page on the website. When you arrive, please report immediately to the harbour master?
Please note that in Amsterdam inner harbour fees are compulsory to sail or moor. After payment, you will receive a vignette-with-chip that must be attached to the back of your boat and activated. More information on vignette options can be found on our page 'Vaarvignet Amsterdam'. Without a vignette, you risk a fine.
On sunny days, you may find our mascot, Willem, at buoy 2. We kindly ask you not to feed Willem.
Below you will find some useful links, including information on the immediate area, which may be of use to you to make your stay at the marina even more enjoyable. You will also find a guest book in the hall of the clubhouse. Please do not hesitate to leave a message for us!
Our marina has some rules for safety and fun. Check out this information, including first aid on the marina and fire prevention, in this pdf.
Don't forget that at WV De Koenen, heeling is also a group activity. Together with the harbour master, a regular and very experienced group of members work on the slipway, which is a huge job twice a year. New members are encouraged to help with the heeling, which also counts towards work duty and is also a fun affair. And lunch will be provided!
Registration for winter storage 2023-2024 is open. If you want to apply for a spot, you can do so online. Make sure your application is in by 6pm on Sunday 27 August at the latest. After this deadline, the form will not be active. Make sure your application is complete to avoid disappointment.
If you have any questions, you can always contact the harbour master, Dimitri Bracke, or the Ship's Commissioner.
