In peaceful surroundings, yet in the bustling city centre, Watersportvereniging Purmerend manages 75 permanent moorings and 25 temporary moorings along the picturesque banks of the river De Where. In addition, they offer 50 beautiful temporary moorings along the idyllic Noord-Hollands Kanaal.
If you sail from the direction of Amsterdam on the Noord-Hollands Kanaal, you will reach the port after passing the Purmerend lock and the Beemster bridge. Coming from Edam and Monnickendam, you cross three bridges. The operating times of these bridges are available here.
Various facilities are available along the quay, including electricity connections, a fixed water tap, well-maintained showers and toilets, and a brand-new harbour office. Passers-by with a berth on the Beemsterburgwal and the Noord-Hollands Kanaal can also use these. The toilets and showers are open daily from 07:00 to 23:00.
Purmerend is located in the heart of the beautiful area of Laag Holland and has much to offer. Besides the many picturesque sailing routes, you can also enjoy wonderful walking and cycling opportunities here.
