Water Sports Association IJmond, founded in 1965, is the ideal home base for water sports enthusiasts. Located in the beautiful recreational area of Spaarnwoude in Velsen-Zuid, the club offers numerous activities and facilities for members and passers-by throughout the year.

Conveniently located to explore all wind directions, W.V.IJ. has 240 moorings for boats up to 12 metres in length. What really sets the club apart is the commitment of its members, who are involved in all activities on and around the marina. Thanks to this commitment, rates can be kept very friendly compared to surrounding marinas and marinas.

Various activities are organised throughout the year, both by the events committee and by members, for members. The facilities are extensive and offer the possibility of storing your boat on shore during the winter period. There is also a clubhouse with a canteen offering plate service and small meals for members to meet fellow members. Passers-by are also welcome.

Opening hours vary, depending on the season:

Terrain opening hours:

• Summer season (1 April to 15 October): Open continuously.
• Winter season (16 October to 31 March): 09:00 to 18:00.

Please note: Access for cars of non-members costs €2.00 per car, and campers, trailers and boat trailers are not allowed in the car park.

Harbour office opening hours:

• Summer schedule (16 April to 15 October): Open daily in the morning, afternoon, and evening.
• Winter schedule (16 October to 15 April): Open Tuesday to Saturday in the morning and afternoon. Sunday and Monday the harbour office is closed.

W.V.IJmond offers various options for storing boats in winter, both for members with permanent moorings and non-members. This includes storage in the water and in the car park. For more information, contact the harbour master.

Facilities are extensive and include a clubhouse with canteen, showers, toilets, a washer and dryer. Free Wi-Fi is available for both members and visitors. For children, there is a playground where they can have fun.

In addition, they offer electricity connections of 10 amp maximum 2200 watts on moorings and several water taps on jetties and quays. For washing and rinsing boats, there is a special tap point on the F/G jetty.

Please note that fishing is not allowed in the marina, but you can enjoy fishing in nearby waters with the appropriate fishing licence.

Its location in recreational area Spaarnwoude provides access to various recreational activities, such as golfing, skiing, climbing, and more. Moreover, cities such as Amsterdam, Haarlem, Beverwijk, IJmuiden and Spaarndam are easily accessible via public transport.
