WSV Goeree is a thriving water sports club with about 175 moorings and around 300 members. Since its foundation on 14 May 1971, the association has aimed to encourage the practice and promotion of water sports. This is achieved by organising meetings, gatherings, courses, lectures, competitions and trips, as well as maintaining the necessary facilities.
A special feature of WSV Goeree is the restaurant "De Reddingsloods," located in Ouddorp's old harbour. From this historic building, formerly a rescue shed, you enjoy a unique view of the Grevelingenmeer. The clubhouse serves as a cosy clubhouse and restaurant, where you can enjoy coffee, lunch, drinks or dinner.
In and around Ouddorp, WSV Goeree offers various possibilities to explore the area. By bike, with a choice of different routes and places of interest, with the association even having bikes available for hire. By foot, the centre of Ouddorp can be reached in about 25 minutes via signposted routes.
Passers-by are warmly welcomed at the mooring jetties or in available boxes. Contacting the harbour master in advance facilitates the allocation of a suitable berth. After mooring, report to the harbourmaster in the clubhouse to pay the mooring fee.
Clubhouse "De Reddingsloods" is open to visitors, where you can enjoy the beautiful view of the dynamic Grevelingenmeer while enjoying a freshly brewed cup of coffee with homemade apple pie. The clubhouse provides extensive lunches, convivial drinks and à la carte dinners. Reservations can be made by phone, and dogs are welcome on the terrace.
The 2023 season promises plenty of fun at the clubhouse again. Opening hours vary by month and are subject to weather conditions. In March, they are open Friday to Sunday from 11am, with Easter from 11am. From April, they are open Wednesday to Sunday from 11:00 am, and from July until the end of August even 7 days a week from 10:00 am.
