Instructions for use: If the wood is grey and/or dirty, it should first be treated with Star brite® Teak Cleaner & Degreaser. Shake can well before use. Using a stirring rod, loosen the product at the bottom of the can and then stir well. Teak must be completely dry before use. Apply the product with a brush. Use short strokes and work in the direction of the wood grain. It is important to make even strokes to get a uniform surface. Always stop application at natural breaks, such as seams. Check the treated surface to make sure there are no brush marks and/or unevennesses. Uneven or moderately opaque areas can be corrected by rubbing with a dry cloth in the longitudinal direction of the wood grain before the product dries. Any blobs or drips should be removed immediately with white spirit and a cloth. The surface is air-dry within 10 minutes and may still feel slightly sticky afterwards. This is normal and in dry, sunny weather it will dry completely quickly.
Star Brite Teak Sealer (Classic Teak) provides effective protection for the teak wood against UV rays, intense heat, salt water and salt in the air. This prevents discolouration and blackening of the wood. Only one coat is needed to protect the surface and the sealer is splash- and drip-proof and an excellent alternative to teak oil. This version is suitable for teak with a dark standard colour.
For a soiled or grey surface, it is recommended to clean first with teak cleaner and restorer. The Teak Sealer - Classic Teak is used in the following way: Shake the can before use and stir the sealer thoroughly with a stirrer. Make sure the wood is thoroughly dry before application. Use a brush and apply short sweeps in the direction of the wood grains. Stop at natural breaks, such as seams. For unevenness or marks, use a cloth to correct before the product has dried. Drips or blobs should be removed immediately.
